Ultra Coating is a specialized coating group within the parent The Walman Optical Company. Walman is a 100-year-old employee-owned company that built its reputation for supplying the best products and services in the ophthalmic market.

Part of Walman’s growth is based on an expertise developed in applying optically clear scratch-resistant coatings to optical lenses in a very demanding application. This division, Ultra Optics, quickly became the market leader in supplying the premier quality coatings and equipment used to apply the coatings to the lenses.

Ultra Coating is a growing division which leverages Ultra Optics' many years of coating experience to select the proper coating (or develop a new one) and optimize the coating equipment and process that results in adding the most value to our customers' parts and applications.
